"We cover topics like the 90- day rule, and what's hot and what's not. We even play games like Dirty Minds and Have You Ever? We bring entertainment, news, and we're commercial free," Ingram said.
"Most importantly, we are going to keep to it real," Barnes added.
Not holding their tongues, the dynamic on-air duo can be heard Monday through Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The "Son and Snake" show was derived from Langston's strongly opinionated organization called The Office. Calling themselves The Office Representatives, Ronald "Son" Ferandez, a junior elementary education major from New Orleans, La., and Octavos Shannon, a senior health physical education and recreation major from Chicago Ill, bring more of a political street feel to their show and play only the latest music.
"We are simply showing off who we are, with opinions from others," Ferandez said.
They hope bringing The Office's organizational mindset to the airways will give listeners a chance to get to know the real them, and become a small part of the office.
"With an energy drink by my side, I feel I bring lots of enthusiasm to the show," added Snake.
They can be heard Monday and Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Not only are the airways booming with new sound, so is Langston's online station. Launched on Sept. 9, Langston's webstation received 651 listeners within its first three days. The online station was set up to give the communities outside the reach of the radio station's airways a way to stay connected with the LU.
"The radio station started off with doing just game commentary and it grew from there," said Pritchard Moncriffe, who runs the webstation and is LU's CIO..
A talk show and a show titled "The President's Corner" are in the works, according to Moncriffe.
Chester "Tre" Woods, Langston's campus DJ and the station's online engineer, said it is a great way for the student body, alumni, and the general public to stay in the loop with what's going on at LU.
To go to the online station go the link "kluwebradio" on www.lunet.edu. To call in and talk to the radio personalities, call 405-466-3248 during their show.

When the radio station is open again, it gives students more experience and a lot of opportunities.
