The Professional Counseling Center is sponsoring a tobacco cessation seminar in conjunction with the Great American Smoke Out. The program will take place on Nov. 20 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon in the Scholars' Inn Clubhouse and will be presented by Heather Ward of Logan County Health Department.
Saturday, Nov. 22
A free holistic health fair will place at the Tulsa Elks Lodge, 5335 S. Harvard. The event features free admission, free parking and free lectures from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, and from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23.

Seniors 55 years or older who need work done around the house can take advantage of the Langston Business Resource and Incubator Center's free "Community Service Clean-up." For more information, contact 405-466-2600.
The Logan County Health Department is giving free flu vaccinations. The clinic is located at 215 Fairgrounds Rd. in Guthrie. Flu shots will be given Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4: 30 p.m. For more information, call 405-282-3485.
Women Emerging Beautifully, an organization for Langston's single mothers with children, meets every Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Cimarron Gardens Apartments, #K3.
Step teams consisting of at least three members are invited to sign up to compete in the Mahogany Concepts Stomp Classic that will take place Feb. 13, 2008 at the Rose State Performing Arts Center. For more information, please contact Shay Tillman at 888-290-0505, or emailstomp@mahoganyconcepts.com.
Free computers classes will be offered in the main library on Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Classes run from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Mondays and 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Thursdays. For more information, call 405-466-3298 or stop by the library to sign up.
