A Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Art Exhibit will be presented by LU's Melvin B. Tolson Black Heritage Center Feb. 7 at 3 p.m. in the Sanford Hall Lobby.
A symposium called "Young Gifted, and Black" will feature a conversation and book- signing with Ephren Taylor II, America's youngest Black CEO, on Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. in the atrium.
BET news will air Stigma: The Silent Killer, a half hour show that examines the role that stigmas have played in the spread of HIV/AIDS, on Feb. 7 at 8 p.m.
Friday, February 8
The Oklahoma City Federation of Colored Women's Clubs, Inc., (OCFCWC) is holding its first fundraiser, "Chocolate after Dark" at Langston University's OKC campus on Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. There will be light hors d'oeuvres and the main attraction will be an assortment of chocolate desserts. Tickets are $10. Please call Jackie Gates at 405-741-1102, or Diane M. Wood at 405-323-9442 for ticket information. Tickets will also be sold at the door.
Saturday, February 9
Langston University nursing students will participate in a health fair at the Greater New Zion Baptist Church located at 1005 N.E. 28, OKC on Feb. 9. Free screening will be offered to the public. More information: Contact Teressa Hunter at 405-466-3274.
The Lions and Lady Lions will play against Houston Tillotson in Austin, Texas on Feb. 9.

The Evolution of Gospel Music, a musical featuring several area church choirs and artists, will take place Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. in the I.W. Young Auditorium.
A faculty meeting will take place on Feb 12 at 4 p.m in Moore Hall, room 101.

The Dallas Black Dance Theatre will perform a mixed repertory of modern, jazz, ethnic and spiritual works by nationally internationally known choreographers Feb. 14 at 7 p.m. in the I.W. Young Auditorium.
Friday, February 15
The School of Physical Therapy will hold their annual White Coat Ceremony for the program's students on Feb.15 at 4 p.m. in the C.F. Gayles Atrium. More information: Contact Misty Ognibene-Wakefield at 405-466-2925.
Saturday February 16
The State of the Black High School Student Forum, which will allow the community to address issues facing teenagers, will take place Feb.16 at 10 a.m. in the atrium.

A Black Economics Empowerment Forum featuring Oklahoma media mogul Russell Perry will take place Feb.19 at 7 p.m. in the atrium.
Sunday, February 24
The Miss Black Langston University Scholarship Pageant will take place Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. in the I.W. Young Auditorium.
