Issue date: 2/6/08 Section: News
The Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum announces its inaugural photo contest, Images of Hope. The contest is open to high school and college photographers. Submissions will be accepted through Feb. 29, 2008.
Photographers from around the world have captured images of the Oklahoma City National Memorial. The site of the April 19, 1995 bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building has become one of the most photographed sites in Oklahoma, its beauty and peace reflected in each photographer's work.
The winning photo will be featured as the cover art for the Memorial's 2008 holiday card, which is distributed to more than 4,000 people across the United States. The winning photographer will also receive a $250 cash prize as well as a Kodak Z712 digital camera, courtesy of SAM'S CLUB.
The contest is open to high school and college students, age 13 and older, who are legal residents of the United States. Photos must be submitted in original, unmodified form and accompanying an entry form. Entries must be received as digital files by Feb. 29, 2008. Complete rules and requirements, as well as entry forms, are available at www.oklahomacitynationalmemorial.org.
