Wednesday, November 7

The Beta Upsilon chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority will hold sign-ups for the 3rd Annual Star Burst event from Wednesday, Nov. 7 to Friday, Nov. 9. The sign-ups will take place in the Student Union from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.



The Lambda Alpha chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. presents a "Passageway to Pleasure - Part II" on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 7:20 p.m.



The LUNAACP will show the documentary "We Gotta Do Better" on Wednesday, Nov.7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom.

Thursday, November 8

The American Red Cross will have a blood drive Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. in the atrium.



The LUNAACP will host a poetry night on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Scholars' Inn Clubhouse.



Langston University's Pre-Alumni Council will be giving away Thanksgiving baskets on Nov. 19th. We are asking for any families or elderly individuals who are in need of food for the holidays to come to Alumni Affairs in Page Hall, room 318, to sign up. The deadline to enter the drawing is November 8.



Friday, November 9

The LUNAACP will host the program "Burial of the N Word" on Friday, Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. in the Coleman Heritage Center (Chapel).



Monday, November 12

Oklahoma State University will host an event called "Women's Speak Out" for the Centennial Celebration on Monday, Nov. 12 from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. For more information, contact the OSU Women's Programs office at 405-744-2127.



The Alumni Affairs deadline for the giveaway of a Thanksgiving Basket will be Monday, Nov. 12. For more information, contact Vonnie Roberts at 405-466-2999.

Tuesday, November 13

The University libraries will sponsor a program on Diabetes Prevention on Nov. 13 at 11 a.m. For more information, contact Kate Corbett at 405-466-3412.



The Logan County Health Department is offering a six-week weight-loss class that meets every Tuesday from 10-11:30 a.m. beginning Nov. 13. There is no charge, and comfortable clothing is recommended; the class includes some very light physical activity. To register, call the Logan County Health Department at 282-3485.



The Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) host meetings every Tuesday in Moore Hall, Room 306 at 12 p.m.
