A poetry contest will take place Friday, Sept. 29 in the Scholar's Inn Clubhouse at 7 p.m. Poems must be submitted by Wednesday, Sept. 27 and sent to: earthwindfire111@yahoo.com. For more information call 405-466-3317.
The Women in Leadership 21st Century Luncheon/Symposium will take place at the Petroleum Club, 34th floor, in Oklahoma City on Sept. 29 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. as a part of the inauguration events. The Petroleum Club is located at 100 North Broadway.
An inaugural fundraising gala and reception, a black tie event, will take place at the Chase Tower Lobby on Friday, Sept. 29 from 7 to 10 p.m. The Chase Tower Lobby is located at 100 North Broadway in Oklahoma City.
Saturday, Sept. 30
The inaugural brunch, which is for delegates and by invitation only, will take place in the president's guest dining room, located at the lower level of the White House, on Saturday, Sept. 30 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The Black Arts Festival of Oklahoma will take place at the Edwards Park on Saturday, Sept. 30, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Edwards Park is located off I-35 service road between 10th and 16th Street.
