A 3-on-3 basketball tournament and two Coyle alumni basketball games will be hosted by the Coyle Alumni Association on Saturday, April 1 in the Coyle gymnasium at 10 a.m.
The first prize for the tournament will be $100 and other prizes will also be awarded.
The tournament rules include that games must start with three players on each team, court monitors will be in effect but players are asked to call their own fouls and the teams are guaranteed a minimum of three games to 15 points (baskets are one point each). Rules will be sent to a designated team member prior to tournament play.  The tournament will begin the morning of April 1.
"This is the second year we have hosted the 3-on-3 basketball tournament," said Julie Weathers, a member of the Coyle Alumni Board.  "The funds raised will be used for the Wayne Gross Scholarship which will be given to a Coyle senior to attend college."
The Coyle alumni basketball games will also take place on the evening of April 1. The alumni women's basketball game will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by the alumni men's basketball game.  These games will also benefit the Wayne Gross Scholarship.
During the alumni games there will be contests that will include a free-throw shooting contest, a half-court shot contest, and a 3-point shot contest.
The entry fee is $1 for adults and children are free.  The fee for entry to attend as a spectator or as a player for the alumni basketball games is $4 per adult and $2 per child, K-12.  Senior citizens 65 and older may attend at no charge.
Those interested in registering should contact Jackie Wilson at 405-466-2425 or Julie Flasch Weathers at 405-466-2816.
Entry forms may also be picked up at Coyle School. The registration fee is $15 per person and must be received by March 18. Students in grades K-12 are not eligible to play in the tournament.
