Freeman has been reciting performance poetry, also called slam poetry, since 2007.

The purpose of the Great American Smoke Out is to get people that smoke or use tobacco products to set aside a day to go without smoking in the hope that they will quit completely.

The men's basketball team may have begun their season with a shaky start, but Head Basketball Coach Greg Webb is confident that his team will make it to the national tournament.
Webb is excited to begin his tenth season with this year's team. He feels that the team has better chemistry, less selfishness and a more balanced attack offensively and defensively.

A safe sex seminar was hosted by the group Taking Health In a New-Direction (THIN) on Nov. 11 in the atrium to remind students of the consequences of unprotected sex.
In the seminar there were three stations that the students went through. The first station taught people the proper way to place a condom on a male's penis.
