Ten students recently formed the LU chapter of The Impact Movement, an organization dedicated to increasing students' knowledge about Jesus Christ.
The organization was created in 1991 during the National Impact Conference, which was hosted by Tom Fritz and now takes place every two years.

Two members of the Langston University Lions football team have been selected to play in the first Eddie Robinson Motherland Classic in Abuja, Nigeria.
The two students are seniors Duke Barker and Jeff Martin. Barker is an offensive lineman and was a 2005 all-conference and all-region selection.

On Dec. 4 the Beta Kappa chapter Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. celebrated their 100 year anniversary with a probate show in the I.W. Young Auditorium that unveiled nine new members.
The new members call themselves Hactenus Insperatus Populus. During the event the Alphas showed off their stepping skills and the knowledge they gained before being inducted.
