The results of NCAA drug testing of 20 members of the NT football team on Sept. 30 did not lead to any sanctions of NT athletes, according to information obtained through the Freedom of Information Act.

The information also shows that the NCAA tested 18 NT football players during the spring 2008 semester.

Shanice Stephens, the new Mean Green women's basketball head coach, got off on the right foot with an 85-77 win over the Texas Woman's University Pioneers Tuesday night.

The exhibition was Stephen's first live-game action since taking the job in April.

"This really gives us a baseline to see where we are to start the season out," Stephens said.

Dennis Johnson made his biggest splash of the season Nov. 1 against Tulsa when he took a kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown, giving Arkansas a lead it wouldn't relinquish in a 30-23 victory.

It is inevitable this time of year. The question is always brought up, and most coaches seem to be in a consensus: the Bowl Championship Series is terrible.

But is it really?

Looking back at past champions since the system was installed in 1998, there has never been an egregious winner.
