Even as Americans celebrated the ascension of a once-oppressed minority to the highest office in the country, four states passed ballot measures restricting some of the most basic rights for gay and lesbian couples.
In a time of economic upheaval and political uncertainty, facing a future that will require sacrifice and realism, the United States of America still divides itself over a fundamental right to marriage.

It's obvious that the UA tobacco policy is broken. We've been complaining about the unenforceable tobacco ban for about a year and a half now, but its time to stop just complaining. We can finally take action.

I write in defense of this newspaper.
I don't have anything to do with the Daily. I do not work for it, nor do I have many close friends in the department.
That will probably be your first concern. The second should be that the Daily will publish almost anything that anyone sends them, so feel free to submit your own reply when you are finished being angry with this piece.
