It's going green.
This year's Rising Star picnic will have biodegradable utensils, plates, and napkins, as well as recycling stations. The event is scheduled from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19 on the quad lawn.
The supplies for the picnic are from a company called Excellence in Packaging and Supply.

Trey Marzloff just moved into Centennial Residence Hall and he's moving again.
The nursing junior woke up Friday, Aug. 15 to water flooding into his dorm room.
About 17 units in the residence hall were flooded due to clogged drains in the courtyard, but only seven residents were affected.

The current nonstick coating consists of polymers made with the element fluorine. It is popular because of its nonstick ability and easy cleanup, but there is concern over the use of the nonstick substance.
